When trying to change your IP address or DNS check the following:

Windows 7, go to Control Panel - Network and Internet - Network and Sharing Center, right click the network connection, then double click on Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IP) as show here and change the IP and or DNS as necessary. Typicall local internal network will be 192.168.1.xx or similar, our DNS can be 195.74.102.146 and 147
