Basic mail settings: POP3 and SMTP are both the same, usually mail.aic.co.uk or if we hold your Domain: mail.xxxx.com etc
POP3 is: port 110 and SMTP: 25
In Outlook advanced account settings it should look like this
You may also use WEBMAIL rather than a PC based system with our services:
www.aic.co.uk/webmail is the main URL, now enter your MAIL username and password. (not your ADSl username and password)
Using webmail has some advantages such as allowing you check from any site with net access, and some disadvantages, such as you cannot view mail when there is no net access.
In this example it is also ticked to "keep a copy on the server for 5 days" by doing this you can allow other devices such as a Iphone to pick up the same mail as your PC.
Click to view webmail on the slidshow to the right of this:-
Examples show login, how webmail appears and what writing a new message looks like, all very similar to other webmail type services such as gmail.

ADSL ROUTER TESTING
If you are having connection issues.
Most Routers have indicator lights on the Front, check these after re-starting:
Power, Ethernet, Wireless, DSL/PPP, Internet/Activity are typcal lights and should all be steady.
If DSL is flashing, this indicates a sync falure, in this case power off the Router for at least 10 minutes.
SPEED tests.
You can do this when connected by using various Internet services, we prefer: www.numion.com but if you need BT action you wil need to use: http://speedtester.bt.com/, Using username: phonenumber@startup_domain, NO PASSWORD, send us the results.
To Login on your Router try 192.168.1.1, or 192.168.1.254 they are the typical Router IP addresses, you will need to know the username and password which was supplied with your equipment.
